Most Complete Digital Topographic Map of Earth Released
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratories and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry collaborated to produce the most complete digital topographical map of the world, released this week.
The ASTER instrument aboard the Terra satellite was able to capture stereoscopic views of the Earth’s surface, giving the orbital images depth and elevation.
