Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.
From this day forward you will carry the mantle of science high in the air, proudly displaying it for all to see. Sometimes you may carry it through dark places, where men of ignorant minds and steely hearts threaten your path.
Sometimes you may carry it in secret, with your mask pulled tightly over your face. Perhaps because it is cold, or something.
But your curiosity will burn bright inside you, and you will live a life of reason, skepticism and discovery. From wondering how your cat always lands jelly side up to explaining the quantum flux of a levitating superconductor …
You will defend the scientific method, spread the love and beauty of science on your blog and in your life, and you will stay curious.
Even just by posting pictures of galaxies … that totally counts … although feel free to do more.
