Q:do you listen to any science podcasts? i have the 'science 360' app from NSF and there's a really great variety of topics from wide array of sources. would you have any recommendations for particular podcasts?

Here are some of my favorites:

  • Radiolab, of course … the best and brilliantest.
  • Science Friday - there’s just something about Ira Flatow’s voice.
  • The Story Collider - a little off the beaten path, emotional stories with science connections
  • StarTalk - Hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, duh.
  • Skeptics Guide to the Universe - An escape to reality

Those are a few of mine, but there’s a TON more in the iTunes Science & Medicine directory. They’re free, give them a shot!

There's a lot of science out there. I'm Joe, let me be your guide to big science news, wondrous science visuals, analysis-izations and all the otherwise cool science-y things out there, with all the woo and BS filtered out.

I'm working to change the way science is communicated and restore it to its rightful place. This is an indie blog that takes many hours a week to publish. If you'd like to support It's Okay To Be Smart or just buy me a drink, please consider even a small donation. Together we CAN!
