Jonah Lehrer Admits to Fabricating Quotes, Stonewalling, Resigns
Jonah Lehrer has admitted to fabricating Bob Dylan quotes in his newest book Imagine. This comes just weeks after the famed neuroscience writer was caught “self-plagiarizing” his own content on his New Yorker blog.
It has just been announced that he is resigning from The New Yorker, and his publisher is ceasing shipment of his new book immediately.
The original story was broken by Tablet Magazine’s Michael C. Moynihan, but their website has since crashed (although it may go back up at any time). I’ve copied the entire story into a public Google Doc here.
