An Evening With Oliver Sacks. No, you’re not hallucinating.
Hey folks! If you’re a fan of Oliver Sacks, then you’ll get a kick out of this. If you’re not a fan of his yet, you probably will be after Friday evening. The neurologist and author of Awakenings and The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat will be discussing his new book Hallucinations, live on Friday at 8 PM Eastern.
And you can watch it right here!
Sacks crawled inside the heads of his hallucinating patients by experiencing their hallucinations himself. The new book is his personal tale of the effects of mind-expanding drug (like the time a spider said hello to him), and what it’s taught him about the workings of the brain. It should be a heck of a read, and a heck of a conversation.
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 9th at 8 PM Eastern and I’ll be streaming it right here on It’s Okay To Be Smart, courtesy of the World Science Festival.
