Dreams of a new particle fizzle out at Tevatron collider
Looks like Tevatron’s long walk into the sunset will be less historic than hoped. Previous news indicated that a new, unknown particle might have been detected. Independent review has determined that there is no evidence to support that claim. Tevatron is due to be decommissioned in the fall.
